We offer outstanding expertise and highly trained research staff to conduct Phase II, III and IV pharmaceutical and medical device trials on adult as well as paediatric populations. Due to our close collaboration with the Department of Ophthalmology and Optometry as well as the other medical departments and facilities of the Medical University of Vienna, we ensure the best medical care in any situation for our patients. They profit from our expertise in the different fields of Ophthalmology and our comprehensive care, resulting in exceptionally high retention rates which have been acknowledged throughout the industry. As the Department of Ophthalmology and Optometry at the MUV records more than 160.000 patient visits each year, we have access to a large pool of eligible patients for screening and potential enrollment into various clinical trials, even for clinical trials that target rare diseases. Our highly qualified multidisciplinary team consists of Ophthalmologists, Orthoptists, Clinical Trial Coordinators, Operators, Technicians and Administrative Staff. Our wide range of state-of-the-art medical equipment, along with certified and professional staff enables us to conduct clinical trials according to the relevant trial protocols, incorporating international and national regulatory standards. We provide the gold standard functional and morphological tests as well as more specialised exams such as Microperimetry, Optical Coherence Tomography-Angiography, Fluorescein Angiography and Fundus Autofluorescence.
